Dead of Night

The dead of the night
When mortal men are assailed by fright
My thoughts are awakened by these heavenly stars.
The definition of our existence, an indelible scar
I watch the night without an atom of fear
My senses are attenuated by my surrounding
Darkness! I begin to picture the ending

The dead of the night is characterized by silence
The continuous drumbeats reverberate; ……… presence
My heighten sense (reason) is quickened
All voices within are quiet
Ecoute! The drumbeats of silence
It births wisdom; the voice of silence is the essence
All in the dead of the night

The 9- if we

If we express our pain and grief in tears, would we cry an ocean?
If we knew all the thoughts of them that hated us would we be better for knowing?
If we could turn back the hands of time what’s the guarantee that we’ll do right?
If we got all life had for us in a day would there be any use living?
If we prayed for God’s foolishness would we be wrong?
If we had control over all issues that pertain to life, where is God in the picture?
If we can’t trust man is there any use in man trusting us?
If we felt love, which of our senses is going to contact it?
If we give love and receive pain, are we fools in love?

The thoughts on my mind with my head rested on the bed.

Burden of Freedom

Myles Munroe put in writing; the Burden of Freedom
What is a free man to do in this kingdom?
The freedom of boundaries
What truly is the estimate of our territories?
Is it an entrapment?
Alas Africans entangled with discouragement
The free man’s saga
African epochs make us gaga

What is a free man to do in this kingdom?
Kwame Nkrumah saw it and spoke it as wisdom
True freedom from colonialism and neo-colonialism; the African union
A union worthy of respect and world dominion
Freedom belongs to thinkers
Not corrupt leaders and followers throwing hooks and sinkers
Plundering over wealth of nations
A definition of freedom found in a broken down meditation

Africa must be free, this was, is and is still the cry
Freedom without a code makes us pry
What is a free man to do?
Think, think, and think, the only way to go

Water Brooks

I looked,
I peeked,
I searched.

I sought after, that which my heart longed for,
My Lord, my God, that which is my core.
In dry lands
With stretched out hands
Beyond that which I see
By faith and patience He will make me be
He carved out everything called a path,
Defied all laws, beat the system called math.

From rocks and deserts came out water
In Him I put my trust, I dare not falter
Unto him I will still look
Into every cranny & nook
In the turbulent times and best of times
My hope and trust in him beyond all signs
Beyond Gideon’s fleece
My faith and patience in the unseen births bliss

The water and the fire often makes weary
Its purpose is to make faith wavy
But like the fathers of old,
In the face of adversity, there, I must be bold.

Dawn

Time binds me to that which is
Death beckons with the chariots of eternity
Life revolves around my existence
Looking beyond with the fiery eye of persistence
I am not scared of the darkness
My heart is my light
I unravel my guts to ingest the sun
As I decipher the ciphers of life
Dancing crazily to the beats of the wind
If I break free from time?
Oh! Slave of time
Oh! Master of time
Laughter and sorrow locked in time
Death and life locked in time
But life and death are birth of eternity?
That I master self within time
From the core I unravel the crust
Ours is with the Eagles
Soaring in boundless currents of divinity
As I see our future in eternity.

3 Angle

(1)
I am the beginning of all things,
Long before the thoughts of bee stings
Present in that state, state of wisdom
Nay, even before the awareness of wisdom, in his kingdom
Man, Spirit, Immortal
The route is through the portal
Man, God, Divinity
Is the pathway the trinity?
The triangle of all things
Long before the thoughts of bee stings

(2)
I am the present,
That space within which we live, beyond men’s consent
In the squared sphere of humanity
In the life “o” sphere of divinity
Is, Was, Shall
Our 3 angle, present in the state of shall
Time! Time In Me Exist
With this cloud of understanding let us persist
My now, very potent, undoubtedly evident
That space within which we live, beyond men’s consent

(3)
I dwell in the ever present word, that which is to come
In him; I live, I move and I have my being. Truth sticky like gum
I am beyond the beginning, the present and the end
Beyond what finite and infinite minds can comprehend
Near future, Distant future, Eternal future
Beyond the celebrations of talents and inevitable rapture
Can it be broken into 3’s? The definition of eternity,
Born of water and the spirit, comprehension of the holy fraternity
The fulfillment of immortality, my constant song and hum
In him; I live, I move and I have my being. Truth sticky like gum
